Benji on a T-Shirt

This design was born out of two things. Firstly, after my cat died, I looked through basically every photo ever taken of him over the years. He had this phase of looking really grumpy, brought about by being hit by a car, which smushed his lip up a bit from his funky teeth situation. So that explains the characteristic look of his.
Secondly, something I was craving at that time, was the feeling I experienced as a child when I was trying to fall asleep and my mum would rub my back until I did. It was an essence of comfort I was searching for in any capacity to learn to self-soothe. And I'd find that in many places, in the phrase 'I'll put the kettle on' or in coming home or in watching my favourite guilty pleasure film unashamedly.
I can confidently say that Benji also enjoyed a back rub. He was an incredible little being. Anyone who met him remembered him for his talkative tendencies and his gentle and soppy demeanour.
And that's how a T-Shirt that honestly appears very surface level, is actually not. It's available to buy on my Etsy shop. You can buy it as a print if you prefer. But I'm also genuinely pleased with the quality of the T-shirt. I've been looking for a graphic T-shirt that fits oversized and boxy without also being as long as Scrooge's nightgown. And it's made with organic cotton!!! So, check it out, I guess.
