Creative commissions are a great way of exploring and diversifying my artistic practice. I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to apply my knowledge, use my imagination, follow a brief and create something cool.

reverse advent calendar
In November 2023, I was commissioned to design and create a festive toy donation station. The café/bar were looking to do something extra for their community engagement and came up with the idea of a reverse advent calendar. Instead of taking things out in the lead up to Christmas, customers could put something in, donating them to children's charities.

I was given the brief, the budget and a whole lot of encouragement, and from that I produced three designs, the Santa Sack being their favourite. After meeting with the client, I got to work purchasing the materials. This piece was mostly produced with thick MDF and acrylics.
It took the best part of 20 hours work to produce and deliver the piece, completely ready to go in time for December. It was an extremely successful campaign resulting in hundreds of toys and hundreds of pounds being donated. This not only ensured that every child at Bristol Children's Hospital received a gift but contributed towards making a life-changing difference to patients in the following months.
