performance

I recently completed my studies at University of Warwick with a first class degree in Theatre and Performance Studies BA. Before, during and after that I've performed in all different kinds of genres and forms on stage and on screen. Here's a couple of recent examples I'd like to share with you. mockumentary

During my time at university, my friends and I created a mockumentary called No Place Like Home. As a solid team of three, we took on every role of production as well as performing the main cast. This was an absolute joy, stressful as ever, but an amazing learning experience and an un-matched time with two extremely strong and talented women. Scroll down passed the good times to have a watch.

The first link is a directors-cut inspired video that helps to explain a lot of the process behind making the pilot episode. And the second link is, surprise, the pilot episode.

improv

Improvisation is definitely one of my favourite styles of performance; an art I've been honing for many many many enjoyable years. In my experience, having a background in improv often leads to a solid foundation for comedy, which is another core interest of mine.

woman

Woman was an improv show I performed in at Bristol Improv Theatre on International Women's Day 2024. Rehearsals included silly improv games, open conversations about our very different experiences of womanhood, lots of tears, meaningful connections, belly laughs and a whole lot of support. The first show was such a success that we had the opportunity to perform again a month later. With a much smaller cast the second time, we each felt we could cut deeper, shine brighter and come together stronger as a team of women. It is honestly one of the best experiences of my life. I feel so lucky to have encountered it so young. Connecting with such an authentic and open and courageous group of women is something I doubt I'll ever find again.

improvisation, an essay.

Here's a link to an essay I wrote at university, taking an academic look at improvisation, alongside my experience of studying a module about Presence and Affect.
